Your Journey

Your Journey is a personal milestone surface that highlights your streaks and unlocked achievements. It’s passive (you never have to opt in to a challenge) and it syncs across your devices.

Your Journey screen showing the 6-month activity heatmap, current streak, and the achievement grid

A 6-month rolling window shows one cell per day, with weekday labels down the leading edge. The heatmap goes beyond the basic Calendar view by overlaying:

  • Achievement pins: a glyph anchored to the day each milestone was unlocked.
  • Streak bands: shaded bands highlighting stretches of consecutive weeks with at least one played game.
  • Current-streak accent: cells in your active day-streak get a 1pt inner accent stroke.

The pins and bands position themselves from each cell’s actual rendered frame, so the layout stays correct under any text size, padding, or sheet width.

Stat Definition
Current day streak Consecutive days with at least one completed game, counting today
Longest day streak Strictly monotonic. Never goes down even if the current streak resets
Current week streak Consecutive weeks with a played game
Longest week streak All-time longest

A reset doesn’t erase the longest stat. It just starts the current counter over.

There are 14 achievements, all auto-unlocked from gameplay milestones. Unearned ones show as locked silhouettes with progress; unlocked ones display the date they were earned.

Achievement Goal
First Game Finish your first game

On Fire Play on 7 consecutive days
Dedicated Play on 30 consecutive days
Game Night Regular Play a game every week for 4 weeks
Season Regular Play a game every week for 12 weeks
Variety Play 5 different kinds of games
Globetrotter Use 3 different scoring modes
The Host Score a game for 6 or more players
Marathoner Finish a game with 20 or more rounds
Family Time Finish 10 Kids Mode games
Scribe Add notes or memories to 10 games
Hat Trick Win 3 games in a row (per persona)
Comeback Kid Win a game after being last at end of round 2 (per persona)

Hat Trick and Comeback Kid are persona-scoped. They unlock per-persona and surface on the persona detail screen as well as the device-level grid, so different players in your household can each earn them independently.

When a build adds new achievements, a one-shot retroactive scan runs over your existing game history and awards anything you’ve already earned. The scan is versioned, so it only runs once per release.

When an achievement unlocks during gameplay, a brief toast slides up from the floating bar. Tap it to deep-link straight into Your Journey. Handy for checking what you just earned without losing your spot in the game.

  • Add memories often. The Scribe achievement is one of the easiest to grab.
  • Mix scoring modes (additive, target, win/draw/loss) to make progress on Globetrotter.
  • Family Time only counts Kids Mode games: perfect excuse for a parents-vs-kids tournament.
  • The 6-month window stays current. Old streaks scroll off, but their pins remain on whichever days they were unlocked.
  • Calendar: The full archive of your games, complementing the journey’s 6-month view
  • Personas: Per-persona Hat Trick and Comeback Kid milestones live on each persona’s detail screen
  • Memories: Powers the Scribe achievement

Yes. The whole journey, including streaks and unlock dates, syncs through iCloud.

No. Once unlocked, achievements are permanent records on your account.

Why didn’t I unlock Hat Trick after winning three in a row?

Section titled “Why didn’t I unlock Hat Trick after winning three in a row?”

Hat Trick is per-persona: the same persona has to win three in a row, not “any combination of you wins three in a row”. Check the persona detail screen to see progress.

What happens to my streak if I miss a day?

Section titled “What happens to my streak if I miss a day?”

Your current day streak resets to 0 the day after a missed day, but your longest day streak stays put. Week streaks work the same way at the week level.
