Kids Birthday Party

A walkthrough for using Kids Mode at a birthday party — big buttons, bright colors, and celebrations that kids love.

It’s a birthday party with six kids playing party games. You need something simple — no complicated scores, just tracking who wins each game. The TV in the living room can show the leaderboard.

  1. Tap + to create a new game
  2. Toggle Kids Game on
  3. Add the kids’ names (or use personas if you’ve saved them)
  4. The app automatically sets Win/Draw/Lose mode with a simplified interface

Connect to the TV via AirPlay so everyone can see the scores:

  1. Connect your iPhone to the Apple TV or AirPlay display
  2. The TV shows a large, easy-to-read leaderboard
  3. Kids can see their scores from anywhere in the room

Learn more about AirPlay.

After each party game (musical chairs, relay race, etc.):

  1. Tap Win next to the winner
  2. Tap Draw for ties
  3. Tap Loss for everyone else

The buttons are extra large and colorful in Kids Mode — designed for small fingers and quick tapping.

When you finish the game:

  • Confetti fills the screen to celebrate the winner
  • The final leaderboard shows everyone’s results
  • Share a results card with the parents
  • No numbers to explain — kids understand Win, Draw, and Lose
  • Fast — tap one button per kid per round, done
  • Visual — bright colors and large text that kids can follow on the TV
  • Fun — confetti celebrations keep the energy up
  • Create a Game Night to track wins across all the party games and crown an overall champion
  • Use personas with emoji avatars — kids love picking their own emoji
  • Kids Mode hides advanced features (categories, scoring units, etc.) so the interface stays clean
