Plain-language summary

Keeping Score! is provided as-is, for personal scorekeeping. Use it however you like for your games. We can't promise it's perfect, and we can't be on the hook if a score gets lost — back things up via iCloud, and have fun.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Keeping Score! iOS application ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Licence

Your use of the App is licensed under Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement (EULA), which is the default agreement applied by the App Store unless overridden. These Terms of Use supplement, and do not replace, that EULA.

3. Permitted Use

You may use the App for any lawful personal or family scorekeeping purpose. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except as allowed by law;
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or third-party rights;
• Attempt to interfere with the App's operation or with other users' devices.

4. Intellectual Property

The App, its source code, design, name, branding, and all related materials are owned by the developer. The Standard EULA grants you a limited, non-transferable licence to use the App on your devices — it does not transfer any ownership rights to you.

5. Your Data

Your game data is stored on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, in your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to your data. Please see our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, scores, profits, or goodwill arising out of or in connection with your use of the App — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the price you paid for the App (which may be zero).

8. Children's Use

Kids Mode is designed to be safe for children: it contains no advertising, no in-app purchases, and no internet connectivity requirements. Parents or guardians remain responsible for supervising children's use of the App.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we will update the last-updated date above. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
