Keeping Score! gives you full control over your player list — before, during, and after the game.
Adding Players
Section titled “Adding Players”When creating a game:
- Type a name — Enter any name up to 50 characters
- Pick a persona — Tap the persona picker to add from your saved personas
- Minimum — Every game needs at least 2 participants (players or teams)
Renaming
Section titled “Renaming”Tap a player’s name in the Edit Players view to rename them inline. Names are limited to 50 characters.
Reordering
Section titled “Reordering”Drag and drop players to change their order. The player order affects:
- Display order in the gameplay view
- Dealer position reference
Shuffling
Section titled “Shuffling”Randomize the player order from the game menu. Useful for:
- Deciding play order randomly
- Fairness when order matters (e.g., first player advantage)
The dealer position is preserved when you shuffle.
Eliminating & Restoring
Section titled “Eliminating & Restoring”During gameplay, you can eliminate a player who’s been knocked out:
- Eliminated players are visually dimmed but not deleted
- They keep their scores and can be restored later
- The dealer automatically skips eliminated players
To restore an eliminated player, use the Edit Players menu.
Deleting
Section titled “Deleting”- Individual: Swipe left on a player in the Edit Players view
- Bulk: Select multiple players and tap the trash icon
Deleting is permanent — the player and their scores are removed from the game.
Dealer Tracking
Section titled “Dealer Tracking”For games with a dealer or first-player rotation:
- The dealer indicator shows whose turn it is to deal
- Advance — Move to the next active player
- Retreat — Move to the previous active player
- Eliminated players are automatically skipped
- The dealer position is preserved when you reorder or shuffle players
- Use personas to avoid retyping names for regular players
- Shuffle is great for deciding who goes first in a new game
- Eliminate rather than delete players who are knocked out — their scores are preserved for the final leaderboard
