Add Keeping Score! widgets to your Home Screen for quick access to scores and timers without opening the app.

Pinned Game Widget

Shows current scores for a game right on your Home Screen.

Small Widget

• Displays the top 3 participants with their scores
• Tap to open the game

Medium Widget

• Displays the top 4 participants with their scores
• Interactive +/− buttons — adjust scores directly from the widget without opening the app
• Shows a “+N more” indicator when there are more participants

Timer Widget

For timed games, the Timer Widget shows:

• Countdown timer display
• Play/pause button
• Reset button
• Game title

See how much time is left at a glance without opening the app.

Adding a Widget

1. Long-press on your Home Screen
2. Tap the + button to add a widget
3. Search for “Keeping Score”
4. Choose Pinned Game or Timer
5. Select which game to display in the widget configuration

Tips

• Pin your most active game for the quickest score access
• The medium Pinned Game Widget is the only size with interactive scoring buttons
• Widgets refresh periodically — there may be a brief delay before scores update after changes in the app
• Use the Timer Widget alongside Live Activities for maximum timer visibility

Can I have multiple widgets for different games?

Yes. Add as many widgets as you like, each configured to show a different game.

Why isn’t my widget updating?

Widgets refresh on a system-managed schedule. If scores seem stale, open the app briefly — this triggers a refresh. If the problem persists, try removing and re-adding the widget.

Which widget sizes are available?

The Pinned Game Widget supports small and medium sizes. The Timer Widget is available in small size.
